We offer high quality broadcast sound dubbing and it can be done
without you leaving your office if you want!

A new way of looking at Audio Post!

Efficient use of the Internet helps us deliver the lowest price for a very high quality sound dub.

We can use fast FTP to receive your pictures (QuickTimes etc) and OMFI audio files and can return a 'review mix' for you to assess in your office or home.
After making any alterations we will either upload the completed Main and M&E mixes for
you or layback to your DigiBeta/DVCam SR video master.

Obviously we are very happy to have you attend the Final Mix here at Pinewood.

Stereo for SD TV or 5.1 Surround Sound for HD

All our mixes will be to your broadcasters tech spec and our laybacks will be guaranteed to pass their QC.

David Taylor, BAFTA winning mixer, oversees all audio work at Postfade.

The major video facility at Pinewood OutPost Facilities run the office for us (01753 630770)
and
David can be contacted directly on: mobile 07973 602127 or e-mail: david@postfade.co.uk

We'll work in the way that suits you best.

1: Send in your files:
We want you to come to your final mix if you're able but can also work from dubbing notes.
Give us a QuickTime and your OMFI audio and we can get tracklaying and dubbing.

2: Upload a review mix:
We can then upload a QuickTime with the new mix for you to assess.
We'll make your alterations and finish your final mix.

3: Return Final Mixes or layback here:
The Final Mixes (Main amd M&E) can be uploaded for your editor to match with your final pictures or laid back to your master tape here.

4: Tapes are still OK:
We can still digitise a 'working picture' from your BetaSP/DigiBeta/DV Cam or HDCam tapes of course and we have DigiBeta and HDCam/SR decks for laybacks and make DA88 tapes for 'audio stems' or supply as audiofiles.

5: Send in your commentary or record with us:
We are able to either import your commentary (as files) or you can record here with us. If you need to do the
recording 'in town', our associated studio in NW10 will possibly be a good choice-and that's also at £75 per hour!

We take great care in crafting your sound mix and at these rates guarantee you will save money for your budget

We're not really far from Soho, but qualify as a 'regional' facility for BBC/ITV and C4.
Postfade Sound is adjacent to OutPost Facilities at Pinewood Studios which is 15 miles 'outwest' in rural Bucks.
( See map at bottom of page).

Directly out of town on the Westway/A40 to Denham, then a couple of miles to Pinewood Studios, so it's very easy by car. Pinewood is also close to the M25 and M4.
If you're coming by tube or train, we'll pick up from the Central/Met Line at Uxbridge or Chiltern turbo trains from Marylebone.

The best audio post mixing:
Equipped with the most advanced TV audio post production equipment currently available:

THE Fairlight DREAM II CONSTELLATION-XT

This combined 192 track mixer and editor is capable of simultaneous mixes in 7.1/5.1 HD and stereo SD plus multiple 'audio stems'.

Allowing us to import or digitise working pictures, tracklay, add additional sound fx from a massive library, record any foley required , undertake ADR and commentary recording and of course M&E and Final mixing- faster than any comparable equipment.

We produce sync, music, FX and commentary stems for each production and these can be easily transferred to DA88 tapes or given as audiofiles.

Where are we?

Pinewood Studios are between the M25, M4 and M40/A40 (near Denham) at Iver Heath, Bucks. (SL0 0NH).

If driving out on the Westway/A40, exit at Denham on the A412 towards Slough, don't go onto the M40.

Most people drive to the studios and there is ample parking.

Although there is a regular Pinewood shuttle bus runs from the stations at Uxbridge (District and Met), Gerrards Cross (Chiltern Lines from Marylebone) and Slough (British Rail).
If you give us a call before hand we'll arrange to pick you up from any of these local stations.

We are in the 'Props Building'.
Best ask for 'OutPost Facilities' though (rather than Postfade Sound) on arrival at Pinewood.
